Nusantara Beat is an Amsterdam-based psych-folk ensemble of Dutch-Indonesian musicians who fuse hypnotic folk melodies, vintage Indo-pop, and psychedelic grooves. Signed to Glitterbeat, the six-piece band released its self-titled debut album of original material in 2025 after earlier reinterpretations of 1960s–70s Indonesian songs. Formed in the Dutch capital’s music scene, the group draws on members’ shared heritage, including bassist Michael Joshua’s West Java roots.
